RUTH ELSE (nee Dawes)

The death of RUTH ELSE (nee Dawes) has occurred at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, after a short illness. A former resident of Wimblington, Ruth, a Home Economist by profession, was an enthusiastic member of various choral societies and a highly skilled craftswoman. She was also a strong supporter of the W.I. and served five years as County Chair when living in the Isle of Ely. Ruth had a very happy family life and is survived by Norman, her husband for over sixty years, to whom she was devoted. She was also very proud of son Jonathan and daughter Kathryn and adored her six grandsons. The funeral will be held in St. Marys Church, Wiveton, on 1st June at 11.30 a.m. If anyone would like to make a donation in her memory, payable to the charity Action for Hearing Loss, it should be sent to Lloyd Durham Funeral Service, Avenue Road, High Kelling, NR25 6RD.
