HOUGHTON Daphne Lilian passed away at 4.20am on Friday 8th May 2015 at home in Eye, Peterborough aged 81 years. Dearly-loved wife of Cyril, much-loved wife of Cyril, much-loved mum to Sarah and dearest grandmother to Alice and Florence. Daphne was an avid bowler and held during her time the post of both president of the English Bowls Association, Huntingdonshire and president of the English Bowls Federation, North Cambridgeshire. Her funeral service will be held at 2.00pm on Tuesday 26th May, at St. Matthews Church, Eye followed by a private committal at Peterborough Crematorium at 3.00pm. The venue to the wake, in Eye, will be accessible immediately after the funeral service at St. Matthews. Regarding flowers Daphne requested a single flower from your garden if any, alternatively donations, if desired, for the Oncology Unit at Peterborough Hospital may be left at the service or sent c/o Anglia Co-operative Funerals, Fitzwilliam Street, Peterborough.
