PORTWOOD (Nee Collingwood) Ruth aged 82 years, passed away, quite suddenly, but peacefully, on Monday 30th March. She was the eldest daughter of the late John and Lilian Collingwood. Beloved wife of Professor Derek Portwood and dearest mother of Jonathan (deceased), Rachel, Timothy and Simon. Much loved mother-in-law to Ian, Ann and Miranda and a loving grandmother to Michael, Andrew, Eve, John, Joe, Susie and Ben. Cherished sister of Sally (deceased), Judy, Charles and Dorothy, and a dear sister-in-law to George, Ron (deceased) and Christopher. A special aunty to her many nephews and nieces. The Funeral Service will be held at Poole Crematorium, at 12 noon on the 16th April, followed by a Service of Thanksgiving at The Lantern Church, Merley, Wimborne in Dorset.
