A paddleboarder in his 40s died after he got into difficulty on the River Nene in Peterborough.
Emergency services were called to reports of the incident along the Embankment on Tuesday afternoon (August 2) at around 4:20pm.
Police, ambulance and firefighters attended the scene and recovered the man from the water.
CPR was performed but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A police spokesperson said: “There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
