The Ely Consort choir is making a return to its “full glory” in Chatteris this Christmas period.
Chatteris Parish Church is welcoming the choir back for a chamber music concert on Saturday, December 3.
The theme of the concert will be “Winter Songs” but two sacred works will also be sung by the choir.
The programme will include music by Dove, Elgar, Gjeilo, Hagenburg, Durante and Hummel and will be supported by the Arco String Quartet with Anne Reece piano.
The first of two sacred works, Durante’s Magnificat, will be sung in the first half and Hummel's Mass in B flat will be sung in the second half of the performance.
The choir has built a performing reputation over the last 30 years to become known as one of the premier Chamber Choirs in East Anglia.
Tickets are now available for purchase from Elizabeth's Florist in Chatteris for £16, online at www.ticketsource.co.uk/elyconsort for £16 + £1.60 booking fee or at the door on the night for £18.
Under 18’s get in free, doors open at 7:30 pm.
