Stainless Metalcraft is celebrating after being highly commended at the National Apprenticeship Awards.
The National Apprenticeship Awards recognise and reward the achievements of exceptional apprentices, apprenticeship champions and apprenticeship employers across the country.
The Chatteris engineering firm achieved the commendation in the Small and Medium Enterprise Employer of the Year category at the award ceremony.
Metalcraft came into this ceremony hopeful after winning the SME of the Year category for the East of England region earlier this year.
Going head-to-head with eight other companies from around the country, they sadly missed out on the award, sponsored by the British Computer Society and the Chartered Institute for IT, but were highly commended.
Martin Lawrence, commercial director at Metalcraft, said: “This is a fantastic achievement for the team and reflects our long commitment to training our own workforce, as well as the quality of apprenticeships available across our business.
