March Lions Club wants to thank the people of March for their “generous donations” to Santa as he toured the town in the festive period.
With the help of the Rotary Club of March, Santa took a tour of March throughout December.
The club has reported that thanks to the generous donations from the town’s residents, they’ve raised £800; to be split between Parkinson’s UK and Young People March.
Santa’s sleigh also collected food for March Foodbank.
Alongside Santa’s tour, the March Lions also spent December 10 at the local Sainsbury’s and December 17 and at the local Tesco with the sleigh.
Their efforts were rewarded as a further amount of more than £1,000 for the club which will be used through 2023 to support local organisations.
The club said: “On behalf of all involved in the sleigh, we would like to give a big thank you to everyone that continues to support us.”
