St Ives (Hunts) and March Golf Club are celebrating their centenary years this year and have marked the momentous feat with a friendly match.
The senior sections of the two clubs played the first of two planned matches at St Ives on May 4, and with the course in excellent condition, St Ives prevailed in the matchplay format with a 4-2 win.
A meal and presentation followed afterwards, with March Golf Club captain Gareth Clark receiving a bottle of wine for being 'nearest to the pin' on the 12th hole.
A spokesperson for St Ives Golf Club said: "All participants agreed the match had been played in the right spirit and everyone enjoyed their game, whatever the result."
