Pupils at All Saints Academy in March have taken part in an event to promote walking and the environment.
They celebrated with an event called 'Happy Shoesday' by wearing sparkly, decorated or colourful shoes to school.
This was part of the national Walk to School Week event aimed at encouraging children to walk or come to school in an environmentally respectful way if they can.
Children at All Saints were rewarded with stickers for every day they do not come to school in a car for the whole journey and will earn prizes by the end of the week.
Pictured are Year 5 children who led an assembly and organised a walk to school week poetry writing competition.
