Two friends raised more than £1,000 for charity by walking nearly 18 miles from Peterborough to March.
Lucy Craddock and Danielle Webb, who work at Best Friends Veterinary Group, clocked up 17.85 miles in aid of Crohns and Colitis UK on June 16.
The colleagues, who walked from the Peterborough practice to the March site in just over six hours, said the cause is very close to their hearts.
"My son was diagnosed at the age of 11 in 2020 and Danielle's sister also suffers from this awful disease," said Lucy.
"At the moment there is no cure but, with raising funds and awareness, hopefully we can make peoples lives a little bit better."
So far, the pair have raised an "amazing" £1,200, which Lucy says is "very overwhelming".
On the day, they started their walk at 5.30am as it was meant to reach high temperatures.
While Lucy says the walk was "really lovely, we both struggled with the last couple of miles.
"But, thanks to our kind and caring colleagues from Best Friends March, we made it."
Lucy said that veterinary care assistant Sue had reserved some hot sausage rolls from March Quality Meats for them and that they also gave them a free bottle of water.
"Once we got back to the practice, the whole team welcomed us," she added.
"They also gave us goodie bags full of refreshments and had containers ready so that we could soak our feet."
