Neale Wade Academy, in March, says vocational qualifications continue to be its strength as students collected their results today (Thursday).
The school – which is run by The Active Learning Trust – says many students received the highest grade of Distinction* in their studies.
Sixty-five per cent of Year 13 students also applied to go to university and study subjects including law, psychology, criminology, marine science and automotive engineering.
Graham Horn, Principal of Neale-Wade Academy, said: “We are extremely proud of the achievements of our students who must be remembered for overcoming adversity and sitting external exams following a very tumultuous time.
“We look forward to following their career choices and wish them every success in their chosen field. Both students and staff must be commended for their hard work and dedication.”
Other top performers were four students who will receive a scholarship from the Patsy and George Brewin Foundation, administered by the March Education Foundation.
Dr Carole Spibey, Head of Sixth Form at Neale-Wade Academy, said: “The awarding of these scholarships is so welcomed by our students and will make an impactful contribution towards their future studies.
"We are extremely grateful to the Foundation for their continued support.”
Lynsey Holzer, CEO of The Active Learning Trust, said: “On behalf of everyone at The Active Learning Trust I would like to send a huge congratulations to the students for the results they have achieved.
“I would also like to congratulate the teachers and staff who have worked so hard to support our students.”
She added: “We are all delighted to see our students celebrating today, and we wish them every success as they progress to their chosen place of study or training.
“Well done everyone!”
