A crash involving a lorry and a tractor has closed the A47 eastbound between the Causeway and Station Road this morning (Monday, August 21).
Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue were called to the road traffic collision near Thorney at 7:48am.
Crews from Dogsthorpe and Stanground attended the scene.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters arrived to find a collision involving a HGV and tractor.
“Two casualties were out of their vehicles when crews arrived and were left in the care of NHS crews.
“Crews made the scene safe following a large fuel leak before returning to their stations by 8.52am.”
Cambridgeshire Police were also called at about 7:45am.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We are currently at the scene of a collision on the A47 at Thorney involving a HGV.
“No serious injuries have been reported at this time.”
The road will remain closed while recovery takes place
