A Fenland artist is exhibiting her original paintings and framed giclée art prints at March Community Centre until September 12.
Amber Howie is a landscape painter with a particular love of painting forests.
One of her aims with her artwork is to transport the viewer to another place.
She hopes that when people look at her paintings they can imagine themselves there.
She is heavily influenced by nature but wants her paintings to be more than an accurate depiction.
"I strive to purify the beauty of nature, just past the realm of realism and into a magical world," she said of her work.
Amber has had a varied career path before becoming a professional artist.
She started out in the legal sector and after six years of studying and training, she qualified as a solicitor but always knew she was an artist at heart.
She has been a professional artist since 2021 and is keen to share the story of her journey and the meaning behind her work with others.
"I’m really grateful to the March Community Centre for giving me the opportunity to share my work," she added.
"I’d like to make more people aware of the awesome activities that these community hubs have."
March Community Centre also has a cafe that's open Tuesday to Friday from 10.30am to 2.30pm.
Amber's work can also be found online at www.amberhowieart.co.uk and on Instagram and Facebook via @amberhowieart.
