The annual Cambridgeshire Sighthounds Great Global Greyhounds Walk takes place in Chatteris on September 24 from 10am.
Claire Streater, organiser of the Chatteris walk, said: "Did you know that sighthounds make great pets?
"We want to raise public awareness as there are many in animal shelters needing homes. Sighthounds include greyhounds, whippets, lurchers, borzois, salukis, wolfhounds and deerhounds.
"The Great Global Greyhound Walk (GGGW) aims for another record-breaking event and to spread the love of sighthounds across the world in 2023.
"2022 was the most successful GGGW yet, with 29 countries taking part in 432 registered walks, with a total of 10,620 hounds participating.
"The ultimate goal is for the general public to see the hounds out on their walk, meet them, and learn about their lovely characteristics – and maybe feel inspired to give one a home in the future.
"In the past, the GGGW has been proven to find forever homes for hounds that needed them and it is the hope that this side of the event will also increase.
"We welcome everyone to join our pack!"
If you would like to attend, get to the green of Westbourne Road, PE16 6HG, Chatteris, for 9.45am.
A raffle will also be held in aid of the Norfolk Greyhound Trust, and money raised from refreshments will also go towards the charity.
There will be free on-street parking and toilets.
