A popular Turkish restaurant in the heart of a Fenland town is to closer for good this weekend.
Pera Palace in Chatteris is shutting its doors for the final time on Sunday.
Restaurant manager Hassan Ates, who is known locally as H, said: “Thank you to all customers for their continuous support throughout our journey since 2019.
“But, unfortunately we have now come to the end of our journey.

“Every ending is a new beginning and of course there will be a new beginning for the palace.
“This historical building will still be standing and we will be waiting for its new journey.
“From our ups and downs to our rises and falls, it was a fantastic four years’ experience at the Pera Palace restaurant.
“We wish a happy and healthy life to all our customers.”
