100 of Chatteris' "older folks" enjoyed bingo, food and live music at a Christmas party in the town.
Now in its third year, the annual event was organised by Chatteris Town Council with support from Fenland District council.
This is the third year running when phone calls had to be made to the town council to be added to the list for the lunch on the 8th December.
The party started with a game of bingo, then a turkey dinner with all the trimmings was served, followed by Christmas pudding or fresh fruit salad.
A glass of wine, fruit juice or water went down well with the meal and mince pies and jam tarts with coffee and tea to finish.
The food was cooked by Housdens.
The guests were entertained by singer Nicole and some of the party-goers were up dancing to the music.
As they left, each guest was given a bag from FDC with helpful leaflets inside.
A goodie bag from Chatteris Town Council was given out by the mayor and the helpers/town clerks andd counsellors at the event.
The bag contained snacks, a small Christmas pudding, a pot of custard, slice of Christmas cake and a Christmas card.
Sharon Selman, one of the organisers, said: "It was another successful Christmas party for 100 of Chatteris' older folks.
"A big thank you to Housdens' superb caterers and staff, and Chatteris Tesco for their generous support of this event.
"For next year's Christmas party/meal, please contact Chatteris Town council at the beginning of November 2024 for details."
