A popular Turkish restaurant in a Cambridgeshire town could be transformed into a snooker and pool hall, if plans are approved.
Professional snooker player Joe Perry hopes to open Joe Perry's Snooker & Pool Palace at the former Pera Palace building in Chatteris.
A license application submitted to Fenland District Council has been submitted for alcohol, indoor sports, and refreshments from 11am until 11pm Sunday to Thursday and until 1am Fridays and Saturdays.
The application is accompanied by a diagram showing the potential floorplan, detailing that the club would aim to have four pool tables, three snooker tables and a lounge area.

Pera Palace, which had been open for four years, closed in October.
The closure came after the restaurant on Market Hill lost its licence in March following an investigation found that three illegal workers were employed there - however the owners denied this.
At the time of the closure, restaurant manager Hassan Ates, who is known locally as H, said: “Thank you to all customers for their continuous support throughout our journey since 2019.
“But, unfortunately we have now come to the end of our journey.
“Every ending is a new beginning and of course there will be a new beginning for the palace."
