Residents of Somersham were treated to a fantastic Christmas concert at St John the Baptist Church in the village.
Nearly 200 people watched on as children from both Somersham primary and Whitehall school performed along side professional musicians.
The show was organised by music teacher Katy Neaves and Spencer Smith.
Spencer, who runs local swim school Splash & Learn, said: “Katy and myself have been friends for many years now.
“Lots of the children I teach to swim also have piano and violin lessons with her, and so we got talking about the idea of putting on a big show that was genuinely entertaining for all watching.
“We enlisted the help of some professional musicians and Katy got to work on teaching the children different parts for some big collective pieces, on top of the individual pieces they have been working on through the term.
“The result was a beautiful concert with the children having the chance to display their talents in front of a large audience.”
The show featured some big collaborations like Somewhere Only We Know and When I Was Your Man, involving piano, string section and the choir.
Somersham Primary headteacher Mr Clarke was in attendance and even sang with the school choir.
He said: “The concert was a lovely way to end the school year.
“I am extremely proud of all the children that took part and I want to extend my gratitude to Katy and Spencer for all of their hard work in organising such a fantastic event
“I might even do a solo next year” he joked.
