A Fenland pub has drastically improved its food hygiene after receiving a zero-star rating two months ago.
The George, in Doddington, which was taken over by new landlords in November 2023, was inspected by Fenland District Council in mid-January.
At the time, manager Wayne Mitchell said "we are determined to bring the historic establishment back to its former glory".
Now, following a re-inspection, the pub in New Street scored four out of five overall after an FSA visit earlier this month.

"We are so happy that we have scored a four on our hygiene rating," added Mr Mitchell.
"After receiving the zero we were all disheartened, but we have worked hard to get things up to scratch.
"I would like to personally thank staff, friends, family and customers that helped us get this score.
"It just proves that we have more support than we ever thought.
"We are well on our way to making The George a great place to visit once again."
