Musical students at a Wisbech school have been learning how a career in the industry may not be an impossible dream.
The group at Thomas Clarkson Academy met the team at IEMusic to learn more about routes to becoming part of the profession.
Aspiring musicians, whether instrumentalists or composers, were involved in the event.
Tim McCoy, music teacher, said: “We had a great day with Sam and Gabbie, the students were fully engaged throughout.
“They loved working together on their songwriting exercises and then performing in front of the group.”
“They were both brilliant with our students and shared some great experiences with them.
“Since they have been in, there has been a rebirth of the band culture,” added Mr McCoy.
There are even plans to host a Battle of the Bands competition at the academy, which hasn’t happened for many years.
The Suffolk-based company has speakers with 15 years industry experience and they offer songwriting advice with successful industry artists.
They offer bespoke workshop days for schools and organisations.
“We would love to have them back,” added Mr McCoy.
