A man was arrested after a fight outside a pub in March High Street.
Police were called at about 12.30am on Monday (May 27) with reports of violence outside The Griffin.
Officers attended and arrested a man while the victim was taken to hospital.
"His injuries are thought to be serious but not life-threatening," confirmed a spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Constabulary.
The man who was arrested, aged 28 and from Chatteris, has been released on bail until August 25.
"A crime has been raised for wounding with intent and an investigation is ongoing."
