A hospital's former plant tower can be demolished to make way for more parking.
Cambridgeshire Community Services NHS trust has been given planning permission to take down the structure - which housed the site's boiler - at the North Cambs Hospital, in Wisbech.
An earlier application was put on hold after officials said it did not contain enough detail about how the work would be carried out.
Now Fenland Council says satisfactory plans for the demolition have been submitted, along with a risk assessment and details of how asbestos will be removed along with material from the building.
A planning officer's report says removing the structure will free up room for 15 extra parking spaces on the hospital site, off St Augustines Road.
The council's decision notice states the work must begin within five years.
