Several events are taking place across Fenland to commemorate the 80th anniversary of D-Day today (June 6).
Here's where and when they are being held:
March
- 7.30pm start
- 8pm music by March Brass 2000
- 8.50pm parade with serving, veterans and cadets
- 9pm Act of Remembrance
- 9.15pm lighting of the beacon by the Mayor of March
- 9.30pm singing of the National Anthem
There will also be food stalls, a bar and World War Two vehicles and displays on the night.
Wisbech
Lighting of the new beacon in Wisbech Park by the Mayor of Wisbech
- 9pm dedication service
- 9.15pm lighting of the beacon
- 10pm event closes
Chatteris
Lighting of the beacon in the Parish Church grounds
- 11am war memorial service
- 8.30pm performance by Chatteris Community Choir
- 9pm proclamation
- 9.10pm RBL standards to be dipped and prayer
- 9.15pm lighting of beacon
