A March-based education centre for adults with physical and learning disabilities joined forces with Vivacity Sport in Peterborough for a day of fun sporting competition.
The event at FACET was part of an Inclusive Sports promotion aimed at spreading the word of how sport is not only great for the body and mind but is able to incorporate everyone of all abilities.
Nine students from FACET, of every ability, teamed up to take on other similar services within our surrounding counties in a sports competition which will be long remembered.
The multisport day saw the students from the Marwick Road based venue try their hands at boccia, football, boxercise, archery, accessible cycling and many other activities.
The day was hosted at the Peterborough Athletics track and supported by the wonderful Vivacity staff.
Daisy Jules, FACET’s learning support assistant, said: “It was an amazing day, everyone had so much fun and lots of the students got to try activities they’ve never had the opportunity to try before, which was so exciting for everyone involved in the competition.
“FACET will definitely be teaming up with Vivacity again in the near future.”
