A fundraiser has been set up with the aim of building a 3G sports pitch in March - however £300,000 is needed.
The GoFundMe page was set up by Simon Rutterford, who is one of the eight board members at Estover CIC.
He said: "The building boasts great facility’s which are enjoyed by various local clubs like netball, walking football, boxercise and various fitness classes.
"When the football season starts again in September, there will be 22 youth teams using these facilities."
"This is why we are asking local families and businesses to donate what ever you can afford to this fantastic project.
"In winter there is only one flood light pitch available in the whole of March, with so many teams in the town many of them simply do not get to train when its dark .
"We as a board are looking to change this and provide state of the art facilities to all teams who require to train under floodlight.
"Do we want our children sitting in front of the TV or Xbox? No we definitely don't.
"Our community needs and deserves better facilities, so we are going to raise enough to build the pitch ourselves.
"This will be a massive challenge but it is achievable with the community’s support.
"Please donate and support our youth."
With 10 donations to date, £785 has so far been raised towards the £300,000 target.
