The A1101 near Wisbech has now reopened after the emergency services attended a serious collision.
Norfolk Police say its officers, the fire service, ambulance and the air ambulance were sent to the incident in Outwell Road, Emneth.
They were called at 8:25am this morning (June 24).
The road is the main route between Wisbech and Downham Market.
Drivers were being urged to avoid the area at the time - but it has now been cleared.
A Norfolk Police spokesperson said: " Police were called to the A1101 Outwell Road, Emneth at 8.25am following reports of a two-vehicle collision.
“The road is currently closed whilst emergency services attend the scene including fire, ambulance and air ambulance.”
Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service said crews from West Walton, Wisbech and King's Lynn were called to the collision.
They ensured the scene was made safe and specialist equipment was used to release the occupants.
The East of England Ambulance Service has been approached for comment.
