Meadowgate Academy students in 6A raised £175 for Willowdale Farm Rescue by organising and hosting a charity coffee morning.
Students decided on which event to plan and who they wanted to raise money for.
It was decided to raise money for a local animal charity and after undertaking some research the class decided on Willowdale Farm.
Students decorated the life skills bungalow and organised games for visiting pupils to play.
They prepared cakes and snacks and took drinks orders, asking for a donation in exchange for a drink and a piece of cake.
Students then used the funds they had raised to purchase food items which they presented to Willowdale Farm at school on Friday afternoon (June 28).
