Residents of a Fenland village could see a new housing development on their doorstep according to plans.
An application submitted to Fenland District Council seeks permission in principle for seven homes on land south west of Manea Road in Wimblington.
The existing site houses dog grooming and kennel business Woodbury and residential accommodation.
Immediately to the north of the site is a residential property and further commercial businesses.
A design and access statement submitted on behalf of the applicant said: "It is proposed to apply to Fenland District Council for a Planning Permission in Principle in application for residential bungalows at this site.
"The site already has an existing access, is not a green field site or agricultural field, has footpath links back to the village of Wimblington and is well screened from the A141.
"Further to the north of this site there are a number of planning applications that have been approved at Eastwood End, which is also east of the A141 Isle of Ely Way, all within the last three years.
