A district council has achieved five straight years of zero upheld complaints.
The Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman confirmed that there had been no complaints found legitimate against Fenland District Council for half a decade.
This was in stark contrast to an average of 63 per cent in similar local authorities.
For the past year, the Ombudsman investigated but found no fault in all complaints against the Council.
Cllr Steve Tierney responsible for customer services said: "We’re extremely proud of this record which reflects the high standard of our services and processes."

“Unfortunately, despite our very best efforts, there will be times where things go wrong, but we always investigate diligently and support a solution.
“The ombudsman’s findings provide another layer of reassurance around our diligent processes.”
For the year leading up to March 31, 2024, the Ombudsman dealt with three complaints against the district council but dismissed them all after initial inquiries, two of which were more thoroughly investigated but none were upheld.
