The closure date of the Lloyds Bank branch on March High Street has been confirmed.
The bank will close its doors for the last time on October 29, 2024.
The announcement comes over a year after the bank confirmed it would be closing the March branch.
A spokesperson for Lloyds Bank said: "The world is becoming more digital than ever before and more of our customers are doing their everyday banking online.
"With more customers choosing to use digital ways to bank and manage their money, visits at this branch have fallen. As a result, we've made the difficult decision to close it."
The bank said that Lloyds customers in March are already using alternative ways to do their banking. 31 per cent of customers use different Lloyds branches, 74 per cent of customers use online banking or phone banking as well as visiting different branches, and 30 per cent of customers also use the Post Office.
The Lloyds Bank branch is the latest closure to hit March High Street, with shoe shop giant, Clarks, confirming last week that it would also be closing its store in the town in September.
The spokesperson from Lloyds continued: "We’re still here to support you and there’s a number of ways you can do your everyday banking with us - online, on your mobile, over the phone or at a Post Office.
"You can use any of our branches and the nearest alternative is the Wisbech branch, and after the branch closes we’ll have a Community Banker visit this area.
"They can offer support and guidance on the ways you can bank with us."
Lloyds also operate a branch in Westgate, Peterborough.
