A cannabis factory was uncovered in a house in Wisbech after Cambridgeshire police officers suspected the property may be used for farming drugs.

On Friday August 16, neighbourhood officers came across a house in Mile Tree Lane which they suspected may have cannabis growing inside.

They were granted emergency warrants by the courts which allowed them to enter the property, where they found cannabis plants.

A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: "Do you know the signs that you may be living near a cannabis factory?

"These include a strong smell of cannabis, blacked out windows, and the loud whirring of fans."
