A building products manufacturer has sponsored a community festival.
The Whittlesey celebration, an annual event funded in part by the £1,000 donation from Forterra, will take place on September 8.
The festival, organised by local volunteers, offers a packed schedule of events, with a variety of musical acts and performances, food and craft vendors, as well as activities for the whole family.
Looking forward to the festival, Mayor of Whittlesey Councillor Alex Miscandlon will oversee the opening, with exciting acts from The Royal British Legion Band and Corp of Drums from Romford, The Louisiana Rhythm Kings Jazz Band, and Tri-County Pipes and Drums among others.
The festival also includes a comedy magic show, classic cars and activities in St Mary's Church and Church Yard Green.
The volunteer-led festival has been a pillar in the Whittlesey community calendar since its inception in 2008, drawing as many as 4,500 attendees each year.
Administrator and advertising officer of The Whittlesey Festival, Averil Cosstick, said: “We are very grateful that Forterra has made this donation.
"It makes such a difference when we have the means to put on as much as we can.
"This is one of the big events families can bring their children to over the year, so we stand as a vital part of the local community bringing relaxed fun and a festive atmosphere.”

Commercial director at Forterra, Adam Smith voiced support for the festival.
Mr Smith said: We are glad to see the Whittlesey Festival can continue to provide the variety of fun activities for the local families.
"We are sure everyone who goes along will have a great day and hope there is another good turn out this year.”
