A supermarket branch in a Fenland town will close for the last time today (September 6).
Tesco Express in Broad Street, March, will close at 5pm and remain closed for several weeks while it is converted into a Budgens shop.
The Post Office will close at 2pm and temporarily shut until Tuesday September 17 while it undergoes refurbishment.
Posting on Facebook, the store's manager Abi Day said: "It is with deep sadness that today is our closure day at Tesco Express Broad St.
"We have loved being part of the community raising funds for projects and supporting events, we have enjoyed serving some of the most wonderful customers and met some real characters.
"Myself and my team would like to thank you for your loyal support as we say goodbye."
A spokesperson for Budgens said: “We’re really proud to support our independent retailers in local communities, right across the UK, and are delighted to be welcoming a brand new Budgens store to March, Cambridgeshire in the coming weeks.”
A spokesperson for Tesco said the store will be closed later this month and, following a short closure to refit the shop, it will re-open as a Budgens later in the year.
They added that Tesco colleagues will have the choice to transfer to the new Budgens store and that the changes will be discussed during a period of consultation.
