Temporary traffic lights in Wimblington that were meant to be removed nearly three weeks ago amid drainage repair works are to be removed.
The lights were initially put in place at Doddington Road on July 29 and advance warning signs stated that they would be removed on August 23.
However, this has not happened and the company that is carrying out the works, Milestone Infrastructure, has now confirmed when the temporary lights will be removed.
"I am pleased to say they will be removed by this Friday (September 13) providing all goes well with reinstating of the existing road," said a spokesperson for Milestone.
"We are sorry this has exceeded the dates shown on the advance warning signs, but due to unforeseen circumstances, the scheme design was changed which extended our program.
"We apologise for the inconvenience caused."
