A care home kitchen has retained its five-star food safety certificate.
The Gables, in East Park Street, Chatteris, has been recognised for its high standards following a recent inspection.
The home, rated good by the Care Quality Commission, has been ranked as one of the top three rated homes in the East of England by the review website carehome.co.uk for the last seven years.
Julie Tyler, manager at the home, said: “Freshly prepared food is an extremely important part of what we provide to our residents.
"We cook healthy and nutritious food, catering for all sorts of different dietary needs and our kitchen team works very hard to ensure that we offer choice and that residents are involved in the menus that are prepared.
“Equally, we need our kitchen staff to understand how important their working environment is and to be prepared for a food safety inspection.
"We’re delighted for Heath, Helen and Karen who fully deserve this recognition for the way they manage their kitchen and for the delicious food they provide.”
