Fenland District Council has launched a consultation on planning application requirements.
The council is reviewing its local validation checklist and has called on residents to share their views.
The 21-day consultation period runs until October 14.
The local validation checklist helps applicants understand the information needed to support planning applications.
Councillor Dee Laws, the council's portfolio holder for planning, said: “A Local Validation List allows planning applications to be accepted and validated in a timely and efficient manner.
"Without one, the planning process can be significantly delayed as the correct information may not be submitted as part of the initial application.
"The List is a key document for any individual or agency seeking to submit a planning application, so it is important that we get the views of anyone who may use it.”
The draft local validation list can be viewed on the council's website.
Responses to the consultation can be submitted by email to: lvlc@fenland.gov.uk or by post to the planning team at Fenland Hall, County Road, March, Cambridgeshire, PE15 8NQ.
