Motorists are being advised to avoid a main road in a Fenland village this morning (Friday Oxtober 4).
Police are warning drivers not to travel on the Isle of Ely Way in Wimblington if possible.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Constabulary said: “We were called at 9.14am today (Friday October 4) with reports a large amount of aggregate had spilled from an HGV on the Isle of Ely Way (A141) near Wimblington.
“A clear-up operation is underway, but the incident has caused increased congestion in the area.”
