Delays remain on a major Cambridgeshire road after an overturned tractor caught fire earlier this morning.
Fire crews from Chatteris, March and Ely attended the scene at Ireton’s Way on the A142 between Mepal and Chatteris.
Taking to social media at around 8.20am, eyewitnesses reported passing a tractor on its side in flames while photos appear to show a fire engine blocking the road as crews dealt with the blaze.
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that the fire was put out at 9.45am.
A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson said the road reopened shortly after the fire was extinguished.
They added: "Recovery for the wreckage is still being organised.
"No injuries were reported during the incident."
