A hairdresser who has worked at a care home for three decades says she has no plans to retire.
Pat Betts, 70, has been visiting Aria Court in March as a hairdresser for 30 years.
She began her career in the 1970s, when rollers and shampoo-and-sets were popular, and still loves her job.
Ms Betts said: “I still love coming into Aria Court.
“It’s such a lovely, family atmosphere, and the work is so rewarding.
“People enjoy getting their hair done.
"It gives them a real boost.
“There’s nothing quite like seeing the smiles on their faces when they look in the mirror.
"It’s lovely to see.”

She has been a mobile hairdresser since the late 70s and has worked at several care homes in the area, but has a special place in her heart for Aria Court.
She works there three mornings a week and has built strong relationships with many of the residents.
For her, hairdressing at Aria Court isn’t just about making sure everyone looks their best, it’s about connecting with the residents and hearing their stories.
She said: “It’s a social experience for them.
“They love to chat while getting their hair done.
"There’s one lady who always talks about her love of Tom Jones and all the concerts she went to when she was younger.”
During the Covid-19 pandemic, visits to the salon were put on hold for a time.
She said: “I’ll never forget that first week back.
“The salon floor was absolutely covered in hair—everyone needed a good trim.”
Home manager Jo Monaghan said: “Pat isn’t just a hairdresser to the residents of Aria Court; she’s a friend, a confidante, and a constant in their lives.
"We love to see her here and for many, her visits are a highlight of the week, bringing warmth, conversation, and a little bit of pampering.”
