Last week, March Athletics Club had many runners competing in various different events.
Firstly, one of the club's very best ultra marathoners, Alan Brown, completed the King Offa's Dyke Ultra Marathon.
The race follows the England-Wales border and is 177 miles long. Alan demonstrated his determination and skills in such events as he finished the incredibly difficult course in 77 hours and 40 minutes.
More importantly, Alan showed everyone what a hero he is when he stopped to help an incapacitated member of the public during the event.
On Saturday (August 31) , a group of runners, who are currently training to take on the challenge of Loch Ness Marathon later this month, took on the Northstowe Festival of Running Half Marathon.
The group ran together all coming in at 2:39:42. Sue Ward won her age category with a strong run.
On Sunday (September 1), March had three runners at the Wissey Five Miler.
Geraldine Larham was first home for the club, whilst winning her age category in a time of 36:30 followed by her husband, Andrew Larham, just 9 seconds later.
Colin Andrews ran a PB (45:57) for the 5 mile distance as he continued to impress.
