At the weekend, March Athletics Club made their 30th appearance at the Round Norfolk Relay and performed outstandingly.
Two teams completed the relay, which totalled 200 miles around the border of Norfolk.
The March AC A Team completed the relay in 22:51:55, their fastest time in the relay's history to date.
The B team completed the relay in 27:55:30. The club had multiple runners win their age categories for the stage with lots of successful performances on display.
The race perfectly demonstrated the team spirit that the club has punched above their weight in a competitive race again.
Elsewhere, March AC had athletes competing locally at the Skylark 5k and 10k.
Rowan Whittlesey was first home for the team in the 5k race in a time of 22.22 followed by Sasha Bland in 25.40 as the team demonstrated the strength of the junior section of the club.
Mark Pegler ran the 5k in 26.31 with Maisie Whittlesey shortly after in 26.51.
In the 10k race, Tony Brown led the way with an impressive time of 46.16.
New member, Jessica West starred on her March AC debut with a time of 49.30.
Nigel Syrett and Colin Andrews were the next two through the finish funnel in 54.55 and 55.32.
March AC had success in both races coming out as the winning teams in both.
Mark Pegler backed up his strong performance at the Skylark 5k by competing in the Stevenage 10k the very next day. He had another good run finishing in 59.09.
